I started my journey on LinkedIn around in 2019, posting regularly about the topics I love, mainly Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Connecting with industry experts.
So a couple of weeks ago i started getting LinkedIn notifications like this.
I started getting multiple notifications some of Digital Marketing , Some for SEO.
Now, I do not know how I managed to get these notifications. I didn’t interact directly with LinkedIn Community managers nor made a specific request or application, but I believe some algorithm picked my profile : it might be related to the posts I have shared, the articles I have written, to my audience, or a combination of that, but I was very excited to get this “recognition” — even if, realistically, it is algorithmic based.
Now the question was how to move forward?
Once i click on those notifications it redirected me to a “LinkedIn Collaborative Articles List”

you need to find some topics that you are not only interested in, but have expertise in. For me, Digital Marketing is an easy place to start. I’ve been working in Digital Marketing for almost seven years now.
Pick your articles wisely. Notice that each article also has “xyz contributions” under it. There are three considerations when picking the articles you want to contribute to. One, how many contributions are already there? Two, do you know enough about the topic? Three, how popular could this topic be?
Choose 10 articles to comment on. I only wrote around 10 contributions before getting my “Top Voice” badge. You can write them all at once, or over time. I wrote my 10 contributions over the course of about 2 weeks.
After 1-2 days i started seeing something like the image below which lets you know how you’re doing so far.
Then after 1 day i got a LinkedIn notification like the image below which tells you that you have the badge!
Make sure you write good contributions that others will react to-that increase your contribution quality!
